Hi all,

I am implementing the system group of the RFC1213 mib. But I do not know what is the right value for the sysServer parameter.

Are the groups like the interface group, the address translation group an so on pre implemented by PowerSNMP?

Which groups are really obligatiory to provide?

Kind regards

Riccardo

Hello,

I'm very sorry for the delay in my response. I'm not aware of any sysServer parameter in RFC1213? Such as per https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc1213
Any MIB should describe what any OID should be set to, however.

"Are the groups like the interface group, the address translation group an so on pre implemented by PowerSNMP?" - No, it is left up to the developer to access the execution environment's details as required by your implementation. Or to implement alternative details as required (such as in the case of firewalls, port forwarding, etc).

"Which groups are really obligatiory to provide?" - Fundamentally, none of them. It all depends upon your implementation's requirements.
