I have noticed an issue recently when sending a single email to a large number of recipients.

I set the mailmessage.to property to the CSV list of recipients I want. This works fine with no errors.

However, looking at the trace, I can see that a CRLF is inserted at around 1000 characters in the "to" list.

This causes anything after that point to be not be delivered (treated as an invalid address).

I have experienced this on multiple types of email servers.

Is there a limit to the number of characters in a recipient list?

Here is what I am seeing.
