posted January 14, 2001 2:35 PM I’m experiencing a problem when trying to Store (Upload) and then Retrieve (Download) the same file to and from Microsoft FTP Server. The file is uploaded without any problems however, during the download the transfer stops any point before reaching 40% and the following error is encountered: - 11101 426 Connection Closed, Transfer Aborted This only happens when the application is run on Windows 98 and runs trouble free on Windows NT & 2000. I’m using the latest downloaded update, which contains DartFTP.DLL version 1.0.43.1 I would be grateful for any ideas or advice you could shed on the problem. Regards, Andrew |

posted January 15, 2001 11:07 AM Does this happen with the sample apps? Does this happen with other servers? If so, can you send the file to support@dart.com and I will try to store and retrieve it using a Win98 machine. K M Drake Dart Tech Support |

posted January 25, 2001 11:57 AM The error I was encountering does happen with your sample applications, however it appears the problem was a combination of the Timeout setting on the server and the network that the test was being conducted over. It would therefore appear that there isn't a problem with the FTP Control. I am in the process of proving this by testing the application by connecting at various other points along the network, as well as fine tuning the timeout setting. Sorry for any time wasting and giving you a red herring. Many thanks for your support. Andrew Pozzi |
