posted December 13, 2019 6:30 PM We have installed a product called Act! and we are getting this error when we try to configure our email server to interact with it. We are not PowerTCP developers, so would you know if this error is due to an issues with Swiftpage's Act! Premium web, or possibly our internet service provider? I have updated our smtp settings, and still get the same error. I also reached out to our Email provider and they do not think it's caused by them. Here's the error: This PowerTCP product has not been added to the Project's licenses.licx file. If your Project does not have a licenses.licx file already, you must create a text file named 'licenses.licx' and add it to your PROJECT (not the Solution). You must then add the following line to the file: 'Dart.PowerTCP.Mail.Smtp, Dart.PowerTCP.Mail' If the project already contains a licenses.licx, simply append this line to the file. For more information, please see the 'Creating the Licenses.licx File' page in the Online Help. ***IMPORTANT*** Any time you make changes to the licenses in your project, you MUST REBUILD (not Build or Start!) the PROJECT (not the Solution!) that contains the reference to the licensed DLL, or the changes will not be built into the application. Also, please be aware that any Project that ultimately references a Dart DLL must also include a licenses.licx file, and be compiled on a licensed machine. This includes, for example, an executable that references a class library, that in turn references a Dart DLL. |

posted December 16, 2019 1:26 AM Hello, We are not familiar with Act!, but it's likely due to that the developers of that application/website failed to implement our product's licensing correctly. We'd recommend getting in touch with the product's (Act!'s) manufacturer to resolve this issue. |
