Hi,

I have an issue with using the PowerTCP Mail for .NET component. Currently I am using the trial version and I have been stuck with this error which prevents me from continuing for a while.
The dll reference im using is Dart.Mail.Standard with a working trial license.

Using the connect method as described on the online documentation I get the following exception,
“Exception thrown: 'System.Resources.MissingManifestResourceException' in System.Private.CoreLib.dll”.

This is the message that displays from the error,
“Could not find any resources appropriate for the specified culture or the neutral culture. Make sure "Dart.Mail.strings.resources" was correctly embedded or
linked into assembly "Dart.Mail.Standard" at compile time, or that all the satellite assemblies required are loadable and fully signed.”

I have tried solutions from the internet but none of them have solved anything for me. Furthermore, I also have a link to a screenshot with the error for you to look at.

Thank you in advance for the support.

Hi Jamie Powell,

Thank you for the reply and hotfix. I have tested the hotfix and the error does not occur anymore, however another error get's shown.

This is the message from that other error:
Authentication failed: A1 NO [AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] Authentication failed.

The email server I use works and the username and password I provided are also correct.
I am unable to tell how and why this error occurs.

The most likely cause is incorrect credentials, but to see if it is an issue with the .NET Standard dll, please check to see whether you receive the same exception using our included WinForms Imap Client sample.

If so, can you please send in the log from that Client sample to support@dart.com, referencing this post?

Jamie

Hi Jamie,

I am unable to replicate the same exception with the WinForms Imap Client sample as that uses the Dart.Mail dll instead of the Dart.Mail.Standard dll.

However, with the MailSamples.CSCore20 sample I am able to receive/replicate the same exception since that does use the Dart.Mail.Standard dll.

I would love to send the logs from that but I would need some enlightenment on how to correctly do that.

Kind regards,
Lei Zheng
