I am getting "The compression method is not supported." exception (type of Dart.PowerTCT.Zip.ZipException) when I either call "QuickUnzip" or myZipArchive.Open" method; the zip file was created by using an early version of PkZip program.

Can anyone know what caused this? Is there anyway I can set the properties other than the defaut ones?

from the support.dart.com, it says:

WinZip, PKZIP, and UNIX gZip compatible

Hello,

PKZIP compatibility is only intended to indicate its modern implementation; what version of PKZIP does your zip originate from?

Thanks for the quick reply.

it's so old that the windows property dialog couldn't show it. But the timestamp string says it's from the 1990s.

In your reply, you said "PKZIP compatibility is only intended to indicate its modern implementation", what version of PKzip program has this implementation?

Thank you very much.

Hello,

We support the modern implementation of PKZIP as is defined on their website here:
http://www.pkware.com/documents/casestudies/APPNOTE.TXT

I'm afraid I do not know what version of PKZIP that compatibility with our component starts at, though.
