posted August 18, 2010 11:57 AM I have an app that uses DartFTP.dll and DartWeb.dll. This app has been working for several years. Recently, I updated DartFTP.dll and it works fine in the development environment, but after updating on a user system gives the 'dartsock.dll not registered' error. 2.10.0.1 C:\WINDOWS\system32\DartCertificate.dll 2.1.0.1 C:\WINDOWS\system32\DartFtp.dll 2.1.0.1 C:\WINDOWS\system32\DartSecure2.dll 2.9.0.0 C:\WINDOWS\system32\DartSock.dll 2.8.0.4 C:\WINDOWS\system32\DartUtil.dll 1.8.0.4 C:\WINDOWS\system32\DartWeb.dll 1.9.0.0 C:\WINDOWS\system32\DartZip.dll |

posted August 19, 2010 10:27 AM Thanks for your response. Yes, this dll is registered during installation by the installer. I have also manually registered it after installation using regsvr32, and the registration succeeds, but still get the same error when running the app. According to Dart's docs, DartSock.dll has no dependencies. I'm wondering if the 'old' DartWeb.dll can't work with the 'new' DartSock.dll that came with the updated DartFTP.dll, and perhaps is trying to start an older DartSock version. But I can't find any information about specific version dependencies. |

posted August 19, 2010 12:27 PM Please send in a Dartnostics log from the machine you have deployed to to support@dart.com. You can find the DartNostics exe in the bin dir in the installation directory (C:\Program Files\PowerTCP\*product name*\bin). Just copy and run on the deployment machine. If the deployment machine is running Windows 7 or Vista, please run Dartnostics 'As Administrator' from the right-click context menu. |
