posted April 9, 2010 4:13 PM I'm trying to compile an app using the Secure FTP for .NET componenet, and even though I have installed adn registered the component, and created a licenses.licx file in the project with the correct license line, I still get this message when compiling: Error 1 Exception occurred creating type 'Dart.PowerTCP.SecureFtp.Ftp, Dart.PowerTCP.SecureFtp, Version=2.3.3.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=5966291b8955e4bb' System.ComponentModel.LicenseException: Secure FTP for .NET has not been installed. You must install either the 30-day trial or the fully licensed product to use this product (available from http://dart.com). D:\Users\moretzl\My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\OracleFileTransfer\OracleFileTransfer\licenses.licx 1 OracleFileTransfer The Dart licenser shows SecureFTp as installed. I'm using Visual Studio 2008, and runnning Windows 7 64 bit. I've tried compiling with both C# and VisualBasic.NET - same error in both projects. I've tried building a 32 bit (x86) and 64 bit app, same error. Any ideas? |

posted April 9, 2010 5:06 PM Thank you for your post. Please make sure you are running the license registration utility 'As Administrator' and then recompile. Please let me know if this does not resolve your issue. ------ |

posted April 9, 2010 5:19 PM That did the trick. Very weird, running the License tool without admin priveledge shows all my installed components, but when I run as admin, shows nothing installed - I had to re-register the secure ftp component. In any event - it fixed the problem. thank you. |
