I did exactly what was written in the online help. Added a text file "licenses.licx" to the project.
Added the line
Dart.PowerTCP.Ftp.Ftp, Dart.PowerTCP.Ftp
Set it as "Embedded Rescource"

Wanted to compile the project.
Gives me an LC.exe terminated with code -1.

What can I do?

Using VS 2008 9.0.30729, SP1
Dart FTP just downloaded yesterday.
Registered
c#, 3.5

Its a DLL-Project, not Win Forms. I added a reference to it.

I don't have the right mouse click with Rebuild Runtime License...

What can I do?

Hi,

First make sure that you have unreferenced the trial dll and have the licensed dll referenced. Next try cleaning and rebuilding the project, not the solution. Lastly all projects that use your dll project must also have a licenses.licx file in them.

If the above suggestions do not resolve the issue then try creating a new project and adding the necessary licenses.licx file and references and try to create an instance of the control. Build this new project and see if you get the same error.

I hope this helps.

Hi Jason

I built a new Project. 1 Line of Code. 1 Reference to Dart.PowerTCP.Ftp. If I compile the project without the licx-File, it works fine. If I add it - same Error "LC.exe wurde mit Code -1 beendet."
Even if I google this error, I find nothing. Very strange...

Isn't there anything else with which I can deploy my project? Serialnumber in the code or something...

What happens if you create a windows form project and drag and drop the control on to the form? What happens when you compile it?

We've only had this issue reported a few times and usually it was resolved by de-referencing the dll and then re-referencing it.

Can you tell us what version of lc.exe is installed on your computer? You can do a search for it in the program files folder. Also, please review this page: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ha0k3c9f%28VS.80%29.aspx and try manually generating a a license resource via the instructions there. Could you also please translate the message in your screen shot from German to english? Just the main error part of it is fine.
