posted February 4, 2010 11:20 AM We deploy our application as both a stand alone application and as a service. The stand alone application executable and service executable have different names. We can generate the runtime license for one of the executables but not both. Is there a way to have more than one license file or can a license file have two executable names embedded in it? |

posted February 4, 2010 1:47 PM Hi, The version you are using was designed with an external license file that assumes there is only one application using Dart.Snmp.dll in the executing directory...the scenario you are describing is not supported (where there is more than one executable sharing the dll in a single directory). This deployment issue was fixed with release 4.2, where the runtime license is saved as a resource within your executing application. So you may use your current version and create 2 separate directories for your applications, or upgrade to version 4.2 which will support multiple applications using a single dll in a single directory. Thank you for using our product, and I am sorry if our licensing design has caused you any unexpected difficulties. |
