posted January 7, 2010 11:41 AM Hallo, We have an encrypted zip-file with multiple files in there. One file is a 30Mb file that has to be extracted into memory. This takes about 5 seconds on a quadcore Q6700 Intel CPU (2.66GHz). Is this normal? Does the length of the encryption-key influence the time taken to extract the file. We use 'zipAESMaximum' encryption. What is optimal for speed and security? |
