posted October 28, 2009 2:59 PM Is there a way to have telnet run simultaneously in multiple threads? I use a scheduling program called Quartz.net to run jobs I wrote in c#. One of them uses telnet to login in to our unix host and do some health checks. This job runs every two minutes. I have some other jobs that run sporadically throughout the day that also telnet to our host. I noticed when two jobs that used telnet tried running at around the same time such that there was some overlap in the jobs running at some point at the same time one or both jobs would just sort of stop. I thought it might have been the jobs couldn't run at the same time and Quartz.net was a stinky open source project until I tried running jobs that didn't do any telnet or where only one of them did any telnet. That's when I noticed you couldn't run two telnet jobs at the same time. I'm hoping there's something I'm doing wrong here that would fix that. Thanx, Eric |
