I have used your secure FTP for ActiveX product successfully for several years. Recently we changed our FTP server to windows 2008 server, and it stopped working. The error I'm receiveing is this: An invalid username, password or security certificate was used for Authentication. (error 12012). I'm using:

Authentication = 3
Protocol = 0
Security = 0

I know that the server is working because I used a product called Ipswitch WS_FTP Professional to verify. Can you point me in the right direction in solving this problem?

Thank you for your post.
The SSL certificate validation may be failing because of the certificate the server is providing.

If this is the case, you can set the Security Property to 1 which tells the control not to validate the SSL Certificate. There are other settings that can be used for this property. For more detail on these setting, please review the SecurityConstants in the accompanying documentation.

Thank you.
