We have a windows service that can monitor 1 to many email accounts, each within their own thread. How often we check for messages is determined by schedulers. Periodically these schedulers will fire at the same time resulting in 2 or more concurrent connection attempts. Most of the time we are successful, but we also see defferent errors. One of the errors we simply hang and never return from the connect request. Other times we receive "object reference not set to an instance of an object".

Version of code being used is 2.1.4.0
