I have both the activeX for Telent and Ziplite and for some reason I cannot install both of them at the same time. I am using Delphi 2007 and after succesfully installing the ActiveX components for FTP, Telnet, VT and ZipLite I get this error message any time I try to drop a telnet or ziplite component on a form?

"Registration procedure, Darttelnet_tlb.REgister in package C:.....\Telnet.bp rasied execption class EFileError: Component tdartstream can't be registered by package telent.bpl because it has already been registered by package ziplite.bpl"

Not what to do to get around this issue.

Thanks!

Hi,
Unfortunately, we are not familiar enough with this environment to know how to resolve this.

It is true that both ZipLite and Telnet include DartStream objects.
But other environments, such as VB6 and even older versions of Delphi, work fine when both controls are used in a project.

As a quick test, I just tried both controls in a Delphi6 app (after adding the controls to the library).
It worked fine.
Unfortunately, I have not used more recent versions of Delphi.
Versions 4, 5 and 6 were all similar in how they supported ActiveX controls.
It seems something has changed in the later versions?

I wish I had more to offer,
