Does this event fire within an ASP.net Application? Or only for Winforms ?

Cheers

It will fire in ASP.NET but you will need to save the the Archive object in a Session variable and retrieve it between post backs.

I have a simple zipping function.
No postbacks this is called on page load.

The file zips up fine, but I can never step into the progress block of code. The file is 300MB so I have loads of time for it to show me some progress.

I want to display the status in a live control lable.

What version of Visual Studio are you using so that I can send you a sample?
