posted June 13, 2008 3:34 AM I have developed an FTP client which needs to connect to a ftp server and must go through a proxy. One user reported that the connection is not possible because a proxy type is missing. There are several FtpProxyType's to select in a Dart.PowerTCP.Ftp.Ftp object, i.e. Socks4, Socks5, Site, User, Open, Pipe, HttpConnect. Another test client provides a proxy type called "HTTP Proxy with FTP support" but this is missing in the Dart.PowerTCP.Ftp.FtpProxyType selection. My question is now whether there is a equivalent for the proxy type "HTTP Proxy with FTP support" or is there any other way to resolve this issue. Thanks and Regards Sami |

posted June 13, 2008 2:24 PM I assume the test client you are referring to is Total Commander. The "Proxy", "HTTP Proxy with FTP support" isn't really a proxy in the strictest sense of the term. It basically emulates an internet browser for the FTP transaction. We do not support this and I don't think we plan to as it isn't part of the FTP protocol. |
