Hi,

We are using DART SMTP Component to send out email to our customers.

We were able to change the port dynamically and everything seems working fine.

Last week we received an issues from one of our client is "ATT/SBC is that SMTP has to use Port 465 and a secure connection SSL and POP3 has to use port 995 and a secure connection (SSL)"

If we want to send the SMTP Email, how can I turn on the property in Dart SMTP Component or what is the work around for this type of issue.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Karthik

Unfortunately we do not have a dedicated tool that supports SMTP over SSL for ActiveX. You have a couple of options:

1. You could use our SSL for ActiveX SecureTCP component to accomplish this but then you would have to program the SMTP protocol.

2. We do provide custom development services more information can be found here: http://dart.com/support_beyond.aspx or by contacting via e-mail to jamie.powell@dart.com if this option interests you.

3. Finally if it's viable for you to move to the .NET framework our PowerTCP Mail for .NET component does support SMTP over SSL as well as IMAP and POP3 over SSL.
