When Zipping large file (> 2Gb) we frequently get -

Automation error
The object invoked has disconnected from its clients.

This is using VB6, SP6 with then simple line

Zip1.QuickZip srcfile, dstfile, False, False

Has anyone come across this before?

Hello,

I just tried to ZIP a file (2.31 GB) using the same code snippet and it worked absolutely fine. I would request you to please let us know the version of Dartzip.dll installed on your machine. You may get the version information by running Dartnostics utility from following location:

<<Start>> <<All Programs>> <<Power TCP>> <<Zip Compression for Active X>> <<DartNostics>>.

Are you getting the said error message on your development machine or on any of your client machine?

Best Regards,
Amit

I have one client out of 500 experiencing this problem. I've reinstalled my software (VB6-SP6) and Dart, and manually re-registered Dart DLLs. I'm guessing problem is registry-related. Any suggestions?
