Hi,

I have built a tool around the Telnet tool. As part of this tool, at times I need to make 20 simultaneous connections to the same IP. Unfortunately I am only ever able to achieve 5 simultaneous connections to that particular IP (I can however have loads of connections to other IPs). I have set the maxconn config setting to 40 using tlntadmn in cmd prompt but this has no effect.

Any help with this will be much appreciated..

Thanks in advance

...ADDTIONAL INFO....

I am receiving the response :

"An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host"

on the connections which fail.

Hello,

If it is working for other IP’s and not with this IP then it seems like a server issue. The telnet component is not the limiting factor here. I would suggest you to please get in touch with the server admin to resolve this issue.

Regards,
Amit
