posted March 21, 2007 11:09 AM We have to legacy applications that use the controls: ptftp32.ocx, ptrex32.ocx, and pttcp32.ocx. When we install these applications on new machines, we a licensing error message and the only resolution we have found is to replace the files with older versions. These licensing problems started recently, and I'm at a loss because our procedures for distribution of these applications hasn't changed. I always use the 32-bit License Manager to stamp the Visual C++ application, but there doesn't appear to be an equivalent for a Visual Basic application. When I try to "stamp" the VB app, I get a message saying it's corrupt or invalid. I've inherited the maintenance of these applications, and have very little knowledge of how the licensing for these controls works. Could you refer me to a specific document or help file that explains how these files should be distributed? |

posted March 22, 2007 9:20 AM Hi, The product does include a help file with a Licensing and Distribution section. It sounds like you are stamping the app, when you should be stamping the ocx files. Hope it helps, -ken |
