When using the POST example program supplied with the Web Tool I get the following error "Error #12032: The Win32 Internet function needs to redo the request."

My configuration is as follows : IE5 (5.00.3105.0106, SP1), Windows NT 5 (SP6), Visual Studio 6 (SP3).

Anyone any ideas what could be wrong ?

Does this happen on all machines you have? Are you behind a proxy?

Yes on several machines with the same problem. Also the machines are on an Intranet (Development Environment) with no proxy configured (connecting to an IIS Server runningon NT4, same Service Packs etc as before).

Also I have downloaded the Web Secure toolkit and the POST application provided by that toolkit works fine, so it I'm begining to suspect that WinInet could be the cause. I would prefer to use the Web Tool rather than the Secure Tool due to the cost.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards
Kevin.

I'm at a loss as to what is causing the problem. Especially since you state that you can do the POST using the SecureTool. Do you have access to a protocol analyzer (sniffer) so that you can see what WININET is sending and receiving? If so you could compare the data to some that was generated with the Secure Tool.
