Does anyone know if it is possible to adjust the upload or download buffer sizes used by Ftp Tool?

I see that the TCP Control in the WinSock tool has a SendBufferSize property, but I don't know if it can be accessed from the Ftp control, or how to do so.

Thanks,
Eli

Hi Eli,
No, it is not currently accessible.

We recently released an update to the SecureFtp control which includes this property, though, and the next release of the Ftp control should include it as well.

If you are a support customer, you will have access to this update.

Unfortunately, I do not have a timetable for the next release at this time, however.

Ken,

Is the SecureFTP control a superset of the FTP control? Would I be able to switch over to it and retain the existing functionality?

Thanks,
Eli

Hi Eli,
Almost.
There are two methods - MGet and MPut that are part of the Ftp control, but not part of the SecureFtp control.

Aside from that, there are only additions - members for its security features.
(And, of course, the new buffer properties discussed above).
