Topic: Orphaned DartRequestBody files

On occastion I find DartRequestBody and/or DartRequestBody.x (where x=number) that have been orphaned. They are a couple of days old.
Clients are connecting to my server and performing a PUT. We get thousands of files daily, and I see the DartRequestBody files come and go. What could happen that these buffer files would be left behind?

The file should be deleted when the request is destroyed.

Do you see the same problem if you try this with the WebServer sample?

Neither the WebServer sample nor WebService sample contains any code to perform a PUT.

Let's just assume that I have already spent the time and energy in building a system that threw thousands of ZIP files of various size from various locations at the WebService sample (because that is what my code is, adding PUT code), and that on occasion in my testing, a DartRequestBody was orphaned. Now what?

I am running it SSL only. I am not running it in service mode, hoping to see something that would indicate why this problem occurs. No luck.

There is no pattern to when the file(s) are created. For example, yesterday we had 2033 files PUT (610MB total) and had a DartRequestBody.1 left and today we had 2711 files PUT to us (781MB total) and no orphans were created.

So my question remains, what could happen that these buffer files would be left behind? I don't restart the app, it just keeps plugging on.

Can you please run a dartnostics report on the machine where this is happening, then post the portion of the report that contains the versions of the Dart dlls?

Also, I notice that you have been posting for quite awhile. Is this something that just started happening out of the blue? Or has it been happening all along?

Also, your other post appears to be related to this one, so for now, to avoid confusion I am going to hide that one. Let's just keep this in one thread.

Thanks.

Those are all very old versions. We just released an update to the Webserver tool. If you can tell me the steps to duplicate the problem I can see if it still occurs with the latest release.

Should I just update the dlls and see what happens?

If you don't have support, you won't be able to download any updates. From what I can see in your records, you don't appear to have support. In order to get support you should contact support@dart.com via email or call us at (866)383-3278 for details
