posted October 4, 2000 5:36 PM I am receiving a strange error when I attempt to post via an SSL connection. Here it is: "The application exeperienced an internal error loading the SSL libraries" Any clues? |

posted October 4, 2000 6:50 PM What OS? What level of IE? Can you duplicate on more than one machine? How can I duplicate it? |

posted October 4, 2000 6:56 PM Unfortunately, I have been unable to duplicate the problem. It is a customer's machine (we're a software company), so I don't have direct access to it. I can tell you that the machine is running Windows 95 with IE 5.5 (recently upgraded from 4). I have been trying to duplicate the problem on a similarly configured machine, but I have had no success. I found the error message listed in an MSDN error list document, but no information in the knowledge base. I suspect that it may be some kind of machine configuration issue, but it surfaces on every machine that they have tried to use. |

posted October 4, 2000 7:09 PM Is it US Win95? Do they have the Certificate Authority for the Server they are connecting to? |

posted October 4, 2000 7:18 PM It should be a US build (US customer), but I will verify that. The certificate authority.. If I understand correctly that that would be the organization responsible for authenticating the certificate, that would be Verisign. The server that they are contacting belongs to my software company. We purchased the SSL certificate from Verisign. |

posted October 4, 2000 9:12 PM The CA for Verisign comes with IE, so it's probably not that. Let me know if you get any more info. |

posted November 21, 2000 11:35 AM I, too am experiencing this error. I loaded the Web tool on my development machine, everything worked great, but when I put it on our production server, I get this error. My development machine is running Windows NT Server 4.0 SP6a, and the production server is running Windows 2000 Server both with IE 5.5 |

posted December 19, 2005 10:15 AM I am also getting this error on WinNT4 (IE 5). On some machines its fine, on others it produces this error. Probably a windows issue, but a show-stopper non the less. ???? |
