posted July 26, 2006 4:03 PM Have you considered cleaning and compressing your script files? The current file passed to the client is 56086 Bytes, after removing all the comments and white space, I’ve been able to reduce the size down to 36226 Bytes. The savings of 19860 Bytes is significant when a user is on dial up. Just a thought. JOHN |

We did that a few years ago and started receiving reports of browsers having issues, conflicts with HttpModules, etc. We opted to just let the developer perform this themselves if they wanted. We are reevaluating things, so it is possible that future releases could have compressed scripts. |
