posted June 26, 2006 3:52 PM Hi, I am using the Dart FTP component to connect to our FTP sites. It worked fine. For following website, I am not able to do so. Could some one please tell why is that. site name : https://sft.wellsfargo.com/ It has its own user name & password. I have the option to sign in using Digital Certifcate or logon by their username / password. I tried and I am getting the following error 530 SSL is mandatory. Connection Closed Please somone help me in this regard Thanks Karthik |

posted June 26, 2006 5:17 PM Hello Karthik, I have read your query and it is my understanding that you are looking to connect to a Secured FTP site through FTP Control. If this is the said scenario, then it seems that you are using standard FTP Tool to connect to a secured FTP site. Secured FTP sites require SSL authentication and for this to be accomplished, we have a separate set of Tools under SSL Tool for Active X. You may download this control from the following location: http://dart.com/downloads After installing the SSL Tool, you need to install a Certificate so that the Client Server authentication takes place. You may install a test certificate by the following steps: Click Start>> All Programs>> PowerTCP>>SSL Tool>>and then click on Install Test Certificate. posted June 27, 2006 9:51 AM Hi Amit, I am evaluvating the SSL Tool for our application. We are using Powerbuilder. In order to check some samples in Powerbuilder, Dart doesn't provide PB examples when I tried the 30 days trial. If you have PB examples for SSL Tool, please email me. Thanks for any help Karthik |
