posted May 15, 2006 1:56 PM I am using PowerSNMP v2.2.0.4 in a VB5 app. I am sending a query for object 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8.5 with a timeout. This works fine most of the time but sometimes get a VB RTE "(9) subscript out of range" thrown by the SNMP manager control send method. Note that I monitor the response event and I do get a response with one variable showing no error and a valid value. This response arrives and is logged by my app and then I get the RTE 9 when Send returns. |

posted May 15, 2006 2:21 PM Can you duplicate this error at will? I've never seen it reported so I can't say what the cause may be. What happens if you take the code out of the Response event and check the Message after send returns? You really should only be using the event if you are making async calls. |
