Hello Support,

i tried to use the WebServer Control under a Windows PE Environment. The WebServer starts without any errors, but no URLs are served. No trace log is written.
Do this control needs any write permissions in the Windows\... directorys? Are there any hints where to find more logs?

We haven't had any experience using Windows PE at this point so I am not positive that it would even work. My guess is that there is something special you have to do to hook events up. Have you consulted with Microsoft to see if there are any limitations with components in Windows PE?

To answer my own question a year ago :)

The WebServer control works without any problem in a WinPE environment. The problem was the XP/SRV2003 Firewall which is startet be default and must be configured to bypass the webserver ports.
If someone is intressted in details: send a mail :)
