Build (web): Could not load file or assembly 'Dart.PowerTCP.Ftp, Version=2.3.2.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=5966291b8955e4bb' or one of its dependencies. Failed to grant minimum permission requests. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131417)

This is the error I am getting when I try to compile.

Version: Visual Studio 2005
Lang: C#
File Location: Project Files are on the my server and not my local drive.

I have the licenses.licx in the directory and I have tried in all the folders in the project just to make sure.

I have also created a licenses.licx file in the Folder where the msi installed the dll and when I add a refrence to the project it automatically includes licx file as well.

I really tried to make sure and think of everything but I am at a loss. Probably something stupid.

If you can help that would be great.

Hello Spence,

I have read this query and as I can understand that you are getting an error message, while compiling a VS 2005 project.

If this is the said scenario, then please note that this error could be due to the fact that you are trying to build applications on a remote machine, as with .NET applications, you cannot build applications remotely. You need to compile the application first on the local machine, making sure that the license(or trial license) has been installed on this machine. After compiling the application, then you can deploy it to any machine.

Also note that the physical location of the licx is not relevant. Simply adding the licx file to the app's folder is not going to take care of the licx requirement. The licx file must actually be added to the Project itself (and the Project should be Rebuilt after it is added).

I hope this will be of help.

Regards,
Amit
