What is the advantage to running a VB5/6 program as a service using the Dart service control VS the Microsoft one? I have a number of applications we've developed over the last few years. The most recent development has been using the Dart service control but some of our older program still use Microsoft's NTSVC.OCX. Are there any compelling reasons to change these over to use DartService.DLL when I am making changes to them?

No, if what you are doing is working, then I would stick with it. We made DartService in response to customers who were having trouble writing services and needed an easy way to do it.

We didn't even bother to make one for .NET because it is built into the environment.
