Does anyone have a feel for the maximum number of outstanding ping requests that can be supported? I realize that's a loaded question (type of CPU, amount of memory, etc.), but what I'm looking for is the metrics that would govern this limit (i.e., the TCP stack supports no more than X outstanding requests, or the Dart component has a limit of X, or every outstanding request uses X bytes of memory, etc.). Does anyone have any stats or just annecdotal experience on this?

I have done some fairly heavy loading with this utility and have been able to routinely keep up to 1500 outstanding pings. Once I get beyond 1500, the program will error out.
