posted November 8, 2005 4:58 AM I have been trying to follow the example on this url http://www.dart.com/tutorials/emulationnet_1.asp (I'm using the evaluation version) When I'm adding the VT control, it just crashes. I'm not doing anything special, on the .Net Framework Component, I'm clicking on browse and go and select DartVt.dll on my %windir%\system32 directory. |

posted November 8, 2005 11:00 AM If you are trying to add the .NET vt component, then you would not be browsing for DartVt.dll, which is the ActiveX control. If you installed Emulation for .NET then you will see the control in the list of .NET components. |

posted November 8, 2005 11:14 AM For the first part, I'm sorry, I didn't know it was related to the ActiveX, the help is just indicating: Miscellaneous Product PowerTCP Emulation Tool Prog ID Dart.Vt.1 File DartVt.dll Dependencies DartSock.dll Threading Apartment Model Licensed Yes For the second part, I installed Emulation for .Net but : http://img487.imageshack.us/img487/1713/toolbox2kv.jpg |

posted November 8, 2005 11:33 AM Did you scroll through the whole list? On my system the VT control appears under the namespace Dart.PowerTCP.Emulation. What version of Visual Studio .NET are you running? |

posted November 8, 2005 11:41 AM I only have Rexec, Rlogin, Rsh & Telnet on components related to a namespace like Dart.PowerTCP.*. I'm currently using Visual Studio 2005 beta 2, I guess this will hurry the installation of the RTM... |

posted November 9, 2005 9:41 AM It looks like there is a problem with only having VS2005 installed. It works on machines where VS2003 are installed as well. I am looking further into this and will let you know when I know more. |

posted November 15, 2005 5:33 PM This has been resolved. Please see this thread: http://support.dart.com/postings?topicid=6207 Also, please note that this is not the forum for problems with Emulation for .NET. This forum is for the Emulation Tool. If you have further problems, please make sure you post in the proper forum. |
