First, take a look at https://secure.logmein.com/go.asp?page=products_it_howitworks2.

It explains how a remote control service put out by LogMeIn works - according to LogMeIn.

It states...

-------
"Whenever remote computers connect to the Internet, they auto-identify their location via a Secure Beacon to the LogMeIn Gateway (through Port 443 in the local firewall).

The Gateway responds to the request and sends an SSL encrypted signal through an HTTP tunnel (back through Port 443) establishing a secure connection.

The Gateway then hands-off the connection for direct, peer-to-peer communication between machines for fast performance."
-------

To me, this says that a client connects to the "Gateway" server and an SSL connection is established. Then, the SSL connection is handed off to another PC for "direct, peer-to-peer communications between machines".

Am I mis-understanding this? Is it possible to hand off an SSL connection to another PC?

I am asking because I have a client that is a poultry processor with almost 300 farms. The farms need to be able to synchronize data between themselves through each one's firewall.

I cannot control all of the firewall's, and thought that LogMeIn's solution would be ideal for this situation.

Do you have any ideas on how to emulate LogMeIn's protocols using a Dart Server control?

Any help you could give would be GREATLY appreciated.

Unfortunately something this complex could not be handled on the forum. We offer more advanced support options for helping people design things like this. Please contact David Harry (sales@dart.com) for more information.
