Hi,
I'm using the FTPListView sample to test for a LAN broken connection (and resuming upload)

1) Connect to IIS FTP Server
2) Upload a file of 600MB
3) Deliberately unplug LAN cable at around 100MB
4) ListView sample disconnects from FTP Server as expected
5) Replug LAN cable
6) Reconnect to FTP Server - all good
7) Upload same file
8) Answer RESUME when prompted to resume or overwrite
9) Failure: file is being used in another process
10) Close FTPListView app and reopen it
11) Try uploading same file (with Resume) and it now works

Is there a way not to have to close the FTPListView app to release the process?

I need to upload huge files 24/7 and if the connection breaks, resume last file at breakpoint.

Thanks

What version of the FTP Tool are you using? Run the Dartnostics program and tell me what version you get for DartFtp.dll

Hi,
This is a download of the FTP .net control today from www.componentsource.com

How do I get Dartnostics?

I had a look in the BIN folder though and the 'Dart.PowerTCP.Ftp.DLL' file is versioned at 2.3.0.0

Thanks

You don't have a Dartnostics program because what you have is FTP for .NET. You posted this in the FTP Tool forum so I thought you had the FTP Tool.

The current version of the FTP for .NET DLL is 2.3.1.0 so the first thing you should do is go to our site and download the most recent:

http://www.dart.com/dotnet/ftp.asp

If you are still having the problem using the latest version, please start another thread in the correct forum.
