I am using the WebASP-Control for some applications and want to use it now as a https-Transport for a SOAP-Application using Client-Certificates. Unfortunately, the Web-Application i have to communicate with requires an empty "[SOAPAction: ]" header to be sent (which has a special meaning in the SOAP-specs, and a different meaning as sending [SOAPAction: ""].

I am struggling to find a way to force the control to send this empty header, as using the following code

  Headers.Add httpNull,"SOAPAction: ",True

doesn't create and send this header at all. Other (non-empty) headers are added properly.

Can anyone please tell me how i could accomplish this?

The current design does not allow for empty header lines. I have submitted a feature request (#3184) to be considered for the next release in several weeks.

If this is crucial to you, please contact David Harry (sales@dart.com) to discuss options.

Thank you for entering the feature request. Anyhow, we cannot afford to wait weeks to start development of the application, and as is can see there has not been an update to this component since 2002 (Version 1.6.1) (!!!) Even the often mentionend certificate store refresh problem has not been fixed until now (We had to fix it in our code) - sad but true...

Overall i think this is a great product, but i have to say that i am a little bit disappointed by the quality of support for this product as some long known bugs are still not fixed and fixes are constantly announced, but never done. I fear, this will also happen to this feature request...

Anyway, i will contact David Harry about this.
