posted May 3, 2005 11:08 AM We are having problems getting this component to work in .NET. It appears to run fine but when pointing it to a directory and having it zip the entire folder and all subdirectories, it seems to be looping and adding the files to the zip several times. When trying to compare to the .NET example you have for the ActiveX component, it references AxDartZip which I cannot find on my machine anywhere. Any ideas? |

posted May 3, 2005 11:11 AM Which tool are you using? The "Zip Compression Tool" or "Zip Compression for .NET"? Both products come with an example called "FolderArchive" that should do what you want. Please double check to see which product you are using, then try the sample app and let me know what happens. |

posted May 3, 2005 2:35 PM Zip Compression Tool ... not the .net version. I have the quick zip method working fine in vb6, but am having this problem in .NET using the component as a reference... |

posted May 3, 2005 2:47 PM If you can avoid using it as a reference, I would. Or switch to the .NET version. Using licensed ActiveX controls in .NET is not fun, but if that's the way you want to go, check out the info in this thread: http://support.dart.com/postings?topicid=2647 |
