Is it possible to creat a script that would allow me to input varibles from a text file into the script?

Specifically I want to create a website for editing Cisco ports. The user puts in the IP of the Switch, Port number, new description, new vlan and hits submit. The info gets saved to a text file.

Then we run a VT script that changes the Description and Vlan info but calls the text file to do it.

End user never actually logs into the swtich.

I'm sorry, but I can't think of a way to do that using PowerVT since the scripting mechanism does not take variables.

Are you a programmer? If so, we sell components that you could use to write a program that does this.
