posted April 8, 2005 1:24 PM Is it possible to creat a script that would allow me to input varibles from a text file into the script? Specifically I want to create a website for editing Cisco ports. The user puts in the IP of the Switch, Port number, new description, new vlan and hits submit. The info gets saved to a text file. Then we run a VT script that changes the Description and Vlan info but calls the text file to do it. End user never actually logs into the swtich. |

posted April 11, 2005 11:05 AM I'm sorry, but I can't think of a way to do that using PowerVT since the scripting mechanism does not take variables. Are you a programmer? If so, we sell components that you could use to write a program that does this. |
