Hello,

I have a little problem with POP control.
In the progress event, size have always the value 0 when method is popGet and status is PopContent.
Count have the good value.

I am using the current dll's.
DartSock version : 2.8.2.12
DartMail version : 2.9.0.18
DartUtil version : 2.8.2.0

Thanks

That may occur if the pop server does not properly report the size of the message. Does this occur with every server you use or just one specific one?

We may be able to suggest workarounds if you want to provide the details we need to log into an account on your server.

If that is an option, please email support@dart.com

Hi,

We only have one server :
Microsoft Exchange 2000 POP3 server version 6.0.6249.0.
The server administrator is not here today but I tried with an old version of powertcp (4.1) and in the onpop3 event, the argument npercentcomplete have a value different of 0.

Maybe it signify that the server report a size ?

Regards

I found out what's going on. Exchange does not report the size on the Get request like other servers do. Here's what you'll need to do:

1) At some point before you get the message content, call:

 Pop.Get msgSize

2) In the progress event, instead of using the Size parameter, use:

 Pop1.Messages(MessageNumber).Size

Hi,

thanks for your quick answer.

I have tried your workaround but in the progress event, I have a strange value for size.

So, I have interpreted the reply for the popsize status and I have now the good value.

Thanks for all
