hey Admins,

im dev'in a new hubsoft for the p2p community which im current testing PowerTCP's server tool. I have found that the speed of this tool compaired to allmost every other socket i have tested is incredable!!!!!!! (allthough the free download only accepts 25 connections :/)

This development isnt paid for and the end application will be a free download. So is there a chance i can get a free copy of PowerTCP's server tool to continue writing this hubsoft?!?

Also the end appilcation will be very powerfull and i have a group of alfa testers that all agree i should continue writing it with PowerTCP tools. But the problem as stated above, ITS A FREE APP, AND NOONE IS GETTING MONEY FROM THIS! so i simple cant afford it! so if there is a chance of a free download please let me know asap! and when im done u guys can put a download up on ur site in the free downloads/applications section

hope to get a reply soon, matt

Please contact sales@dart.com for sales questions. Regarding your comment "allthough the free download only accepts 25 connections", I am not sure what you mean. We don't limit anything regarding the number of connections in the Server Tool.

I don't see any record of the email. Try sending it again. Yahoo addresses get blacklisted a lot so it may have been filtered as spam.

Regarding the connection limit, there is none on the Server Tool. If you are seeing some sort of limit, it must be coming from your OS. You probably have some sort of firewall software running.

Are you sure you are using the server tool? What was the exact name of the product that you downloaded?

hello again tony,

The tool im using is PowerTCP's Server Tool which has the following...

Listener.Listen()

and an event Listener_OnConnection()

dont have exact info cause im on a mates net with a mac =[

The email i sent was via the site and was not from my email. So if ur site skipped it as spam thats crap!

I am running a software firewall, but i can garrentee that its not interfering with the socket. Because all dev is on the same machine, and with other sockets there is no problems when it comes to handling data over 500+ connections!

just to point out, the listener does accept the connection, but it wont send or receive data after there is 25 connection loops.

its prob my code fukin up, so ill check it out to ensure its running correctly.

And about the missed email, i spent 2 hours writing the preposal to then have it filtered? that dont make me a happy man at all.

ill write one more now on the site and thats it...if i dont get a reply in less then a week....ill find another not so good socket to continue my work

thank for all ur help Tony!!!! Matt

We don't have a product that has an "OnConnection" event. The closest would be the "Connection" event in the Server component from Sockets for .NET

If that's the case , then the limit you are seeing is a limit of 25 threads per app imposed by the Framework. If you want more you can configure it. Search the forum for "thread limit" and you should find some postings that discuss it.

If I find out why the address was blocked I will let you know. Have you sent the mail to David yet?

bleh...

net crashed when i was sending email :/

i give up on this now...thankz a heap for ur help Tony.

The worker thread limit is holding my application back, but in all the things i read in the search results. no of them actually tell u how to change the worker thread limit for ur application. Well one says an app u can download to do this on the fly.

but yea...
