posted August 16, 2001 3:56 PM Trying to install the PowerTCP Web tool on my new machine, and I'm beset with flashbacks from the last time I went through this. What does it take to convince this component that it is registered? I visited your web site, input my credentials, and received a registration number to "paste into the registration program" I ran the registration, input the registration and serial number and pressed "update" nothing happened. When I continue with the "online registration", it connected, sent registration information, then reported an error while attempting to register. For what it's worth, I understand that Dart must protect itself from software piracy, but this hairtrigger security has caused the WebTool to stop functioning several times in the past, which, in turn, caused my software product to stop functioning as well. While I like the Web tool, I have some serious concerns with its useability. Can someone please contact me to help me to get this control activated? |

posted August 16, 2001 4:33 PM Hi Jeremy, If you have registered through the website, it is not necessary to use the "Online Registration." They do the same thing - get a Registration number. If nothing happens when you press Update, either the Company is blank, or one of the two numbers is incorrect. Obviously, the Registration number is the number you just obtained. The Serial number should be in this format: 1570-x-x-x If, after checking these values, it still does not work, you can contact us at 315-790-5456. -ken K M Drake Dart Tech Support |
