posted January 27, 2005 11:45 PM Hi there... I've been using the DnsServer ActiveX component from PowerTCP Server Tool. Making an A record request does not return "Authoritative"... only non-authoritative. In most cases, it should return Authoritative since the local database is the authority for the record and the component has no built in recursion capabilities. Can we be given the option to set the Authoritative flag in the response packet? The DNS client I'm writing this custom DNS server util for requires this functionality/flexibility. |
