posted December 13, 2004 5:11 PM Are you referring to the winmail.dat file that is in an email opened by Outlook or Outlook express? If so, I think that is the name that they give an inline attachment that does not have a filename. The attachment is not encoded it's just a renamed version of the original file. If you know the name of the original, you should just be able to rename it. |

posted December 13, 2004 5:16 PM I don't think that will work, since I send to myself three files attach (3 pdf files) but I receive only one winmail.dat... This is a know issue with Outlook when you use RTF mail format. But I can't tell eveybody in the world to don't use RTF, should be one way. (Yahoo mail open fine the attachment) I would like to know if powertcp mail include a TNEF decoder or plan to include it. |

posted February 17, 2018 5:05 AM We use a product called winmail_opener to strip off the winmail.dat & decode it. It has always worked really well for us. http://www.eolsoft.com/freeware/winmail_opener/ |
