posted November 21, 2004 1:22 AM i seem to have a problem using socks 5 proxy. whenever i want to connect to an ftp over a socks 5 proxy that is using a user/password i get on the proxie side [06:03.43] [1] Accepted Connection From ***.***.***.***:4851 [06:03.43] [1] Socks 5 Method Negotiation Failed [06:03.44] [1] Connection Closed and as an error from my program i get : socks 5 proxie does not accept username/password authentication. when i set the socks 5 server to use no password or username it also gives me an error , as return error i get: socks5 proxie does not accept not authentication. and the same error as with user/pass on the proxie side [06:18.56] [1] Accepted Connection From ***.***.***.***:4883 [06:18.56] [1] Socks 5 Method Negotiation Failed [06:18.56] [1] Connection Closed the proxie works cuz i use it for other applications too and they have no problem using it also tried it with the sample that comes with it listviewget but that gives the same errors ? using version PowerTCP FTP for .Net 2.2.5 assume that's the last version ? don't seen any patches or so for it on the site ... |
