posted November 17, 2004 8:02 AM I want to upload files through a local proxy (located on our local Intranet). While doing so I got the error: No such host is known. The name is not an official hostname or alias, or it cannot be found in the database(s) being queried. This error may also be returned for protocol and service queries, and means the specified name could not be found in the relevant database. Do I really need to add it to DNS? What's the fix? Thanx much. RAJ. |

posted November 17, 2004 9:06 AM I'm not really sure what you need to do in your specific situation. All I can tell you is the error means that whatever string you specified for the server or the proxy server could not be resolved to an IP address. |
