posted September 8, 2004 5:28 PM A couple of months ago my PC was replaced and I reinstalled my Power FTP and Power Telnet software which I then thought I successfully registered. In fact, my software was working, but now I get the following message: System.ComponentModel.LicenseException: Thank-you for trying PowerTCP, but your trial license has expired. Please consider us again! Contact Dart (dart.com or 315.790.5456) for support or to license this product. at d.a(LicenseContext A_0, Type A_1, Object A_2, Boolean A_3) at System.ComponentModel.LicenseManager.ValidateInternalRecursive(LicenseContext context, Type type, Object instance, Boolean allowExceptions, License& license, String& licenseKey) at System.ComponentModel.LicenseManager.ValidateInternal(Type type, Object instance, Boolean allowExceptions, License& license) at System.ComponentModel.LicenseManager.Validate(Type type) at Dart.PowerTCP.Ftp.Ftp.g() at Dart.PowerTCP.Ftp.Ftp..ctor() at IFLImport.IFL_FTP1..ctor() in D:\StarTeam\MDMLoadingTool\WebApplications\IFLImport\FTP\IFL_FTP.ascx.vb:line 60 at ASP.IFL_FTP_ascx..ctor() at ASP.IFL_FTP_aspx.__BuildControlIFL_FTP() in http://localhost/MdmLoadToolApps/IFLImport/FTP/IFL_FTP.aspx:line 30 at ASP.IFL_FTP_aspx.__BuildControlform1() in http://localhost/MdmLoadToolApps/IFLImport/FTP/IFL_FTP.aspx:line 19 at ASP.IFL_FTP_aspx.__BuildControlTree(Control __ctrl) in http://localhost/MdmLoadToolApps/IFLImport/FTP/IFL_FTP.aspx:line 1 at ASP.IFL_FTP_aspx.FrameworkInitialize() at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequest() at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequest(HttpContext context) at System.Web.CallHandlerExecutionStep.System.Web.HttpApplication+IExecutionStep.Execute() at System.Web.HttpApplication.ExecuteStep(IExecutionStep step, Boolean& completedSynchronously) |

posted September 8, 2004 5:34 PM Please contact support@dart.com regarding this. Make sure you send in the serial numbers of the products that you have. Also, make sure that you exactly which components you are using by checking the references of your projects. I say this because you posted under the FTP tool forum but from what I can see you are using FTP for .NET, not the FTP Tool. |

posted September 8, 2004 6:56 PM I believe you are right. Apparently we were also using Power TCP for .net which we also have a license for. I had not registered it before, but now I have and I'm getting the same message. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall it and reregister it? |

posted September 8, 2004 8:19 PM You need to rebuild the application now that you have installed the license. Make sure you do a REBUILD and not a MAKE or COMPILE. If you are still having trouble after that, please contact the support department as I described in my previous post. |

posted September 10, 2004 8:21 AM Well that helped a lot. Thanks. Just don't tell my boss I overlooked such a simple fix. |
