I understand that the emulator I use (the active x control) is activex. I have read that Windows will tighten severely what is allowed with these controls in the next update. Has anyone had problems after doing the beta of this update?

Hello,
We did run some tests with a build of SP2 and didn't notice any direct impact. Microsoft will shut down the ports by default using its built-in firewall so that may cause some havoc as most users don't even know that one is available, but other than that nothing seemed troubling. Still, we are not ruling out potential issues, especially as the characteristics of SP2 are not yet finalized, based on my understanding. We will be responding to problems as they appear and plan to address any issues quickly.

Kind regards,
