Hi. I seem to overlook something basic. In Delphi, if I import the ActiveX control I only need to specify the RootDirectory and then I can start the server.

In FoxPro however, I then get an error stating that the certificate is wrong. What do I need to do to get this running? I searched this site, but could not find any useful information/examples. If anyone has a simple example, I'd be much obliged. If I can get this demo to run correctly, I can convince them to buy the full version. It would save me a lot of trouble/coding.

TIA, Hans Pollaerts

It sounds like you specified a secure port in the listen method without first assigning a certificate to the server.

Do you want the server to be secure?

No. Not for the first test anyway.

That was indeed the problem. I overlooked the fact that _not_ passing any parameters defaults to SSL. Thank you.

But if I would like to use SSL, how would I specify a certificate in VFP. I tried converting the code from Delphi & VB but so far been unable to get it to work.

As far as FoxPro goes, the best advice I can give you is to search this forum or VFP or Foxpro.

If you are unable to resolve it there may be options available that would allow development of a special sample for you.

I forgot to mention ... Contact David Harry (sales@dart.com) to find out more about support options.

I don't need SSL for my demo. Hopefully after seeing that, they buy your product, and then support will be included (I guess). So I think I'll wait and see for now.

Thanks for your support.

Signing off, Hans

Well, just one more post for now. Your thoughts had me looking at the VB & Delphi code differently, and so I can now say that it works. I must have done something wrong somewhere, I don't know. After recreating my test project from scratch, I now have it working in 5 lines of code. Absolutely great that I can also show off with SSL. If now they won't buy your tool, I'll change jobs.... ;>

A happy Hans.
