posted June 8, 2004 9:00 AM Hi, I m facing a strange problem. I have made an ASP page where I m using a DLL from VB in which I have made a process to fetch the site status information. The same code is working on my machine, on my machine it is fetching the all information related to HTTP, HTTPS(No cert.), HTTPS(Valid Cert.) and HTTPS(Invalid cert.). But when I deployed it on another machine it dosen't fetches the information related to site wether the site is HTTPS(Valid and Invalid certificate) compliant or notbut it is fetching the HTTP and plain HTTPS(No cert.) What could be the probable cause. Novneet Jain |

posted June 8, 2004 11:33 AM Hi, Actually I m unable to fetch the HTTPS(Valid and Invalid Certificate) status. I m doing this with the help of a DLL which I m using in ASP. Same thing runs perfectly fine in VB fulclient version of the tool. ASP portion is running on the devloper machine but not on the deployment machine. Where as the fullclient version of the tool is running on both. What are the security permissions, etc. I need to assign on the deployment machine for making the ASP portion run. Novneet Jain |

posted June 8, 2004 12:14 PM fetch the HTTPS(Valid and Invalid Certificate) status mean that checking for wehter a particualr web site is accessible with the help of HTTPS(valid certificate) or (Invalid Certificate) or not. I m doing this with the help of Webenterprise WebASP. When I try and fetch the status(explained above) it gives error, "There was an error in creating credentials". |

posted June 8, 2004 12:46 PM Where is the certificate located? If it's not in the Local Machine store, put it there and see what happens. |

posted June 9, 2004 9:59 AM Sorry for the confusion. I have just been informed that ASP can't access certificates and that this is the reason we created the method that allows you to load one from a file. Please write to David Harry (sales@dart.com) to request a beta of the latest DLL that will allow you to do it. |
