posted June 2, 2004 2:29 PM I've spun up a new server and forgot that the old one had some of my Dart-enabled PowerBuilder applications running on it... I've moved the apps, but of course they don't work becuase the Dart DLL's have not been installed or registered. I did this work so long ago that I've forgotten where to begin... I can't even find the DLL file son my develeopment workstation. I know I need to: (1) Install the Dart DLL's on the server (2) Register them Can I just restore the DLL's and the DartCertificate.dep file from tape to my new server? Please advise. |

posted June 2, 2004 2:57 PM The DLL's you need are described in "Distribution" in the Online help. If you no longer have the toolkit installed, your best bet would be to restore the DLLs from tape, then use the program "regsvr32" to register them. You will also need to add you license key to the server as described in the Online Help under "Distribution under Internet Information Server" |

posted June 2, 2004 3:02 PM Thanks, but this isn't an IIS server... It's a database server that calls a client application. Ive restored and registered the DLL files. What are the .DEP files? Are these the license files? |

posted June 2, 2004 3:09 PM Not sure why I added that. I see that you said PowerBuilder. Sorry to confuse you. The dep files are used by the setup wizard (part of Visual Studio). All they do is tell the wizard what other DLLs to include. They are not needed for deployment. |
